Real Time Systems was founded in 1988 by Allen Nance to provide custom micro-processor based instrumentation to the global seismic data acquisition community.
RTS has historically served exploration and seismic research needs of the oil & gas industries.
From that focus, RTS developed a standard product line of seismic source synchronizing equipment, tailor made for synchronizing small to large (2-128) air gun arrays.
RTS equipment is used globally for:
- deep marine seismic projects, including high resolution, 2D, and 3D surveys
- marine research
- ocean bottom cable
- transition zone
- vertical seismic profile projects
Ocean bottom monitoring
RTS also offers low power data acquisition instruments for ocean bottom research. These products provide functions to accommodate marine mammal monitoring, ocean bottom seismic studies, ocean bottom bore hole experiments and electromagnetic studies.
